Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

Create detailed drawings for electrical components and systems to ensure safe and functional equipment. Design power distribution systems and equipment control systems, incorporating RF power supplies and network communications. Perform prototype assembly and testing, troubleshoot equipment during the building phase, and inspect incoming products from new vendors. Utilize company software packages, including project management tools, to facilitate collaboration and efficiency. Assist with estimating and proposal work, and provide quality checks on electrical assembly personnel's work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical control systems, including power distribution and equipment control systems.
  • Create detailed drawings and documentation for electrical components and systems.
  • Perform prototype assembly and testing, and troubleshoot equipment during the building phase.
  • Inspect incoming products from new vendors, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and international standards (IEC).
  • Utilize company software packages, including project management tools, to facilitate collaboration and efficiency.
  • Assist with estimating and proposal work, and provide quality checks on electrical assembly personnel's work.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with control panel design and development.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and international standards (IEC).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 5-day on-site schedule for the first 6 months, followed by hybrid flexibility. The team meets every Friday to determine the schedule for the following week, typically working 2-3 days on-site. Limited travel is involved, primarily to local suppliers.
