Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing echocardiographic procedures, assisting with transesophageal procedures, and providing preliminary analysis of echocardiograph results.

• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to perform ultrasound imaging according to ICAEL protocol.
• Assist cardiologists with TEE and stress imaging studies.
• Utilize safety and infection prevention standards, perform quality control procedures, and maintain adequate supplies for efficient department operations.
• Recognize the need for contrast imaging and administer if trained and verified as competent.
• Operate laboratory ultrasound systems, information systems, and databases, and enter required demographic and other data.

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), or Sonography Certification and Registration (S-ARRT), or CCI Registered Technologist, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) ARDMS certified.
• CPR certified.

• 1 to 3 years' experience performing echocardiograms.
• RDCS certification through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
