Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Nucor Harris Rebar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance team to achieve results in safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute effective maintenance processes to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Train and develop maintenance team members to improve their skills and knowledge
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage maintenance projects and ensure timely completion
- Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and maintenance techniques
- Minimum 2-year degree in a mechanical discipline or equivalent technical training and experience
- Experience in hiring, training, and developing maintenance team members
- Knowledge and experience with Preventative and Predictive maintenance techniques using Maintenance Management Systems
- Experience with the maintenance of industrial hydraulic systems, gearboxes, couplings, furnaces, and compressors
