Responsibilities:

* Assist in civil/structural engineering analyses and design for distribution/transmission line layout and design
* Assist in the development of construction contracts, material take-offs, material standards, and technical specifications
* Assist with drawing packages for bidding, construction, as-built, and submittal purposes
* Assist construction activities with technical support and timely review of submittals
* Self-motivated capable of working independently or in a team toward the timely completion of assigned projects
* Effective verbal and written communication including technical writing skills
* Effectively communicate project scopes, budgets, and schedules
* Prepare property records, data, reports and other special projects as required

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other similarly related engineering disciplines
* Basic knowledge of civil/structural transmission line design
* Academic knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including computer applications
* Academic knowledge of field techniques for construction of transmission lines
* Academic knowledge of surveying techniques, practices, and procedures
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Basic knowledge of safe working practices related to electric transmission lines
* Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering, preferably related to electric transmission line design
* Registered as an Engineer Intern in Colorado or California
* Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time on an annual basis
* Must possess a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

* Desire to learn Project Management techniques and/or Construction methods
* Experience in other industries related to Civil/Structural Engineering
* Interest in or member of an industry organization (ASCE, IEEE, NESC, etc.)

Travel Requirements:

* Must be able to travel up to 10% of time to project sites, client offices, and company offices

Salary Range:

* $61,000-$82,000 annually
