About this Role

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN at Mazorah Medical Center, you will be part of a committed, caring team that provides vital support to patients with cardiopulmonary system dysfunction. You will work under the general supervision of the RT Supervisor or Team Leader to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician. Your duties will include administering medical gas, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program, a current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care, NBRC CRT certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment start date. Prior experience as a certified respiratory therapist is preferred but not required.
