Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Central Sterile Tech to join our team at Corona Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety through the proper processing and sterilization of medical instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Central Sterile Techs in the decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of medical instruments.
  • Develop and implement effective workflows and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing of instruments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Surgical Services and other department leaders to ensure seamless integration of Sterile Processing with other hospital departments.
  • Provide training and guidance to new staff members on proper instrument care and sterilization techniques.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements:

  • Current BLS (CPR) certification.
  • Sterile Processing Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist Certification.
  • Previous experience as an Instrument Technician or Central Sterile Tech, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of instrument care and maintenance.
