Medical Cardiology PCU Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse on the Medical Cardiology PCU at Carilion Clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a regular part-time schedule, including evening and night shifts.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide individualized care to patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills to deliver quality service
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes
* Accurately administer and document treatments and medications using automated computer systems

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of a school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure
* Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
* Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC)
* Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements
