Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care during the recovery phase of surgical procedures. The RN will be tasked with ensuring patient safety, monitoring vital signs, and providing necessary post-operative care.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is essential, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- A valid and unrestricted RN license in the state is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is necessary.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
The successful candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to outstanding patient care, possess excellent multitasking abilities, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various assignments. Adherence to stringent infection control protocols and maintaining professional competencies are essential. The RN will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Work Schedule:
This position is exclusively weekdays, with no requirements for holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. Some later evening shifts may be necessary. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered to the right candidate.
