Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist PRN role at Baylor Scott & White Health involves providing speech language pathology services, including evaluation, treatment, and education programs, to restore speech, language, and swallowing abilities in patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and treats patients within the speech pathology treatment plan, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team.
  • Provides education to patients, family, and staff, and advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Exhibits face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Possesses proficient computer knowledge and operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.

Requirements:

  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Speech Language Pathlogist (SLP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire or transfer.
