Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation/posting, general ledger account analysis, and review of accounts payable coding.
• Prepare internal financial reports.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues.
• Manage tax and compliance responsibilities, ensuring timely filing of annual reports, registrations, and licenses.
• Support insurance renewals, annual financial audits, and tax return preparations.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Contribute to the development of new or revised accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Perform additional accounting duties and provide support to junior staff as required.
• Engage in other projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Completes assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and stress management abilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Desired Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Deltek and/or Prophix software.
• CPA or CPA candidate status.

Other Requirements:
• Ability to pass a background check, which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
