We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in the daily trading activity of our business, with a significant impact on our overall performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Purchasing and Selling**: Responsible for the purchasing and selling of non-ferrous scrap metals and RSI, ensuring that our business remains competitive in the market.
  • **Supplier Management**: Visit and maintain current and potential suppliers to generate new sources of material, building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • **Business Development**: Assist in developing strategic plans for new business to generate new sources of raw material, driving growth and expansion.
  • **Logistics and Transportation**: Collaborate with local operations, freight partners, and head office to coordinate and manage transportation, ensuring seamless delivery of goods.
  • **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including closed sales and follow-up activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • **Market Knowledge**: Develop knowledge of aluminum markets and the various tools necessary to compete, including terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, and more.
  • **Industry Associations**: Participate in industry associations to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices.

**Requirements**
