Scrap Metal Trader Opportunity

Service Aluminum Co, a leading scrap aluminum broker, is seeking a skilled Scrap Metal Trader to join their team. This role plays a crucial part in the company's daily trading activities, impacting overall performance.

The ideal candidate will support buying and selling activities by maintaining and expanding existing supply bases, as well as identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase and sell non-ferrous scrap metals and RSI
  • Visit and maintain current and potential suppliers to generate new sources of material
  • Develop strategic plans for new business to generate new sources of raw material
  • Collaborate with local operations, freight partners, and head office to coordinate and manage transportation
  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including closed sales and follow-up activities
  • Develop knowledge of aluminum markets and various tools necessary to compete
  • Participate in industry associations
Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent negotiation skills
