Emergency Veterinary Technician Caregiver

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technician Caregiver to join our team at Avets. As a key member of our overnight team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and their owners, working collaboratively with our veterinarians and other support staff to deliver high-quality medicine and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to veterinarians during emergency procedures
  • Assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and laboratory testing
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' care and treatment
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting, preferably in emergency medicine
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification preferred
