About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer to join our team at SOSi. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Assist in formulating and upholding an organized information system security program and policies that are applicable to your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Secure Computer Systems and Networks: Establish and maintain secure computer systems and networks for classified processing, and take responsibility for the administration, maintenance, and security auditing of such systems.
  • Manage Security Authorizations: Manage assigned eMASS packages containing all security authorizations for information systems under your supervision.
  • Coordinate Security Inspections: Coordinate inspections, tests, and reviews of information system security.
  • Contribute to Team Success: As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for contributing your expertise and skills to help ensure the team's success in responding to security incidents and protecting organizational assets.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Security Guidelines: Maintain current knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
  • Manage Security Continuous Monitoring: Manage, maintain, and execute the information security continuous monitoring plan.
  • Record Security-Related Vulnerabilities: Keep records of all security-related vulnerabilities POA&Ms and ensure that serious or unresolved violations are reported to the AO/DAO.
  • Evaluate Security Impact: Evaluate any changes to the system, its environment, and operational requirements that could impact security authorization.
Requirements
  • Active SECRET Clearance: An Active in-scope SECRET clearance is required for this position.
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent years of related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Security Protocols: Knowledge of NSA's Commercial Solution for Classified (CSfC) solution and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is required.
  • Understanding of Security Frameworks: A thorough understanding of NIST Publication 800-53r5, Risk Management Framework, Executive Order 14028, and OMB Mandate M-22-09 is required.
  • Experience with eMASS: Prior experience with eMASS is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II Compliance: DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) is required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate tasks across functional groups is required.
