About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team at Providence St Vincent Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment.
  • Objectively identify the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Assist physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations, including transesophageal echocardiography, trans-catheter echo guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies, contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.
Requirements
  • Oregon Sonographer certification
  • National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree: Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • One year: Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, OR Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
  • Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures
