Job Summary
The Surgical Coordinator RN is a key member of the Perioperative Services team at The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus. This role is responsible for supporting the Director of Perioperative Services in the efficient coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care delivered in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient flow and surgical schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient safety and satisfaction
- Provide education and training to staff on perioperative care and best practices
- Assist with the management of the operating room and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license
- CPR certification and AORN Certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
