Job Overview

As a Thermal Insulation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to install insulation materials, such as fiberglass or rock wool batts, in various building structures. Each day may present different challenges, but you can rely on a consistent workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the loading and documentation of materials onto transportation vehicles.
  • Set up scaffolding or ladders to reach necessary heights.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit within walls, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces.
  • Secure insulation using methods such as stapling, gluing, wiring, or utilizing equipment for loose-fill or foamed insulation.
  • If required, operate a company vehicle while adhering to all driving regulations and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols on job sites and be familiar with the location of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in your vehicle.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Previous experience in the construction sector.
  • Proficient in using standard hand tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, including attics and crawlspaces.
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Able to bend, twist, and maneuver body at shoulders, waist, and knees.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
