Job Overview

As a Thermal Insulation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to install insulation materials, such as fiberglass or rock wool batts, to enhance energy efficiency in buildings. Your work environment will vary, but you can expect a consistent workflow that emphasizes quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the loading and organization of materials onto transport vehicles.
  • Set up scaffolding or ladders to reach necessary heights for installation.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit various structures, including walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces.
  • Apply insulation using methods such as stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or operating specialized equipment for loose-fill or foamed insulation.
  • If required, operate a company vehicle while adhering to all driving regulations and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols on job sites and be familiar with the location of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in your vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Prior experience in the construction sector.
  • Proficiency in using standard hand tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, including attics and crawlspaces.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, and maneuver body at various angles.
  • Stamina to stand for extended periods.
