Sheffield Furniture & Interiors is seeking an experienced Industrial Seamstress to help create beautiful custom window treatments, draperies, and soft goods for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing drapery construction and alterations according to client specifications, creating cushions and bedding according to client specifications, operating sewing machines and other tools to fabricate custom window treatments, measuring and cutting fabric to ensure accurate sizing and fit, creating templates and patterns for custom projects, collaborating with team members to meet production goals, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform drapery construction and alterations according to client specifications
• Create cushions and bedding according to client specifications
• Operate sewing machines and other tools to fabricate custom window treatments
• Measure and cut fabric to ensure accurate sizing and fit
• Create templates and patterns for custom projects
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of sewing experience (preferably with draperies, shades, and bedding)
• Proficient in sewing construction techniques
• Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
• Experience operating sewing machines and other related tools
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
