About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to join our team at LCMC Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of instrumentation for surgical and procedural services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff responsible for sterile processing operations
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
  • Work closely with nursing staff to ensure accurate implementation of sterilization parameters
  • Establish and maintain protocols for monitoring biologicals and flash sterilization
  • Coordinate with other department managers to improve sterile processing operations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to sterilization processes
  • Ensure timely and effective handling of instruments and complex instrumentation
  • Communicate effectively with surgery department regarding items out for repair
  • Interview, hire, counsel, evaluate, and terminate sterile processing personnel as needed
Requirements
  • 2 years of supervisory/management experience
  • 5 years of sterile processing experience
  • Completion of surgical tech program or BS in Health Sciences
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterilization Association (HSA) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
