Core Responsibilities

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist will:

  • Conduct electroneurodiagnostic testing.
  • Prepare and set up necessary equipment and supplies for tests.
  • Review patient histories and provide education regarding procedures.
  • Continuously monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any adverse reactions.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment including EEG, EP, and PSG systems.
  • Identify and correct artifacts during testing.
  • Score, graph, document, and report diagnostic results.
Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Electroencephalographic Technician certification preferred.
  • Credentialing in Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction Study from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists is preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
Preferred Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in neurodiagnostic procedures is preferred.
