Medical Technologist

As a Medical Technologist - Sleep Lab Specialist at Ascension, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing, interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues, and explain testing procedures. You will also perform and document testing, monitor patients throughout testing, and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. Additionally, you will prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing
- Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures
- Perform and document testing
- Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues
- Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing
Requirements:
- Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
