Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse II to join our team at Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to patients in the Catheterization and Interventional Radiology Lab, utilizing the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Cath/IR Lab.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring that all relevant information is documented in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information and responding to concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current AHA BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS certification as required by the department.
  • Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting, with successful completion of orientation and training to the point of competence.
  • Knowledge of hospital and nursing policy and procedure, as well as the function of other departments within the facility.
Working Conditions

The Registered Nurse II will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients in the Catheterization and Interventional Radiology Lab. The successful candidate will be able to lift 25 pounds and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and fine motor ability. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive and caring interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and fellow employees is essential.
