Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laboratory Technician to join our clients' team in the life sciences industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of experiments, tests, and analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for experiments and testing.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Record and analyze data from experiments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Support senior scientists in research, including performing tasks such as sample collection, processing, and storage.
  • Perform quality control checks on laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Properly label, store, and dispose of chemicals, reagents, and biological materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of laboratory reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience working in a laboratory environment (1-2 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office) for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a life sciences industry laboratory (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices).
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, spectrometers, and autoclaves.
