Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and establishing new laboratory procedures, coordinating their implementation and evaluation, and identifying, troubleshooting, and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures
  • Coordinate the implementation and evaluation of laboratory procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex problems
  • Make internal and external presentations regarding advanced laboratory topics
  • Field test and evaluate reagents and equipment for use in the laboratory
  • Participate in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in a laboratory setting, with five years of experience preferred
  • Certification in a particular laboratory specialty may be required
