Job Overview

Structured Cabling Specialist - $25- $35/hr - Based on Experience

We are actively seeking skilled Cable Technicians with a minimum of 3 years of expertise in low voltage cable installation within commercial settings. We encourage qualified candidates to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and managing CAT 5, CAT 6, CAT6A cables in new commercial construction projects.
  • Terminating communication jacks and organizing distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels).
  • Setting up support structures including ladders, racks, and j-hooks.

Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in low voltage or structured cabling installations in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards.
  • Experience with rack and stack work, including assembling server racks and patch panels.
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, including Anaerobic Terminations, SC and LC Connectors, and Splicing is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to interpret schematic and line diagrams.
  • Possession of essential telecom tools such as punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
