Facilities Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Federal Signal Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and implement environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence to NFPA, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage facility vendors, including janitorial, uniforms, grounds keeping, rentals, and employee purchase programs.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the upkeep of facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Develop and implement waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business continuity plans.
- Coordinate with security personnel to ensure the safety and security of facilities and personnel.
- Develop and implement budgeting and cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources.
- 1-year experience in business operations, industrial safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, material handling, rigging, assembly, and painting processes.
- Good reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to appraise, coach, and develop subordinates.
- Ability to foresee potential problems in safety, environmental, and maintenance issues.
