Overview

This unpaid internship presents a valuable opportunity for students pursuing degrees in communications, digital media, journalism, or related disciplines to enhance their writing skills and creativity within a professional setting.

Work alongside our team to produce original content for websites, printed materials, social media channels, and more, while contributing to strategic marketing efforts.

Responsibilities


As a content trainee, your primary responsibility will be to generate original and captivating content for all communication platforms, including website text, printed materials, internal newsletters, and social media updates.

Your duties will include researching target audiences, assisting in strategic planning and execution, and crafting content that resonates with our intended demographic.

By collaborating closely with stakeholders and fellow interns from other departments, you will ensure alignment with organizational goals and brand messaging.

Moreover, you will support various marketing and communications initiatives, such as graphic design, social media oversight, event coordination, and general office tasks.

Under the mentorship of the marketing and communications manager and director, you will maintain message consistency and promote Chestnut's dedication to exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program in communications, public relations, digital media, broadcasting, journalism, or a related field.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Proven writing abilities across diverse formats, including blogs, website content, brochure text, social media posts, and storytelling.

Foundational understanding of event coordination, graphic design, and campaign development.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent analytical and multitasking capabilities.
