We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Granite Recovery Center in Portland, Maine. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests and associates.

Job Summary:

The Cook will be responsible for preparing delicious meals according to our menu, following food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily in accordance with our menu and recipes.
  • Monitor and document food temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Perform routine deep cleaning of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping the floor.
  • Assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness, and food preparation.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior kitchen or restaurant experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification a plus.
  • Ability to pass a State of Maine criminal background check.
