Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our tight-knit team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading the development of our cutting-edge React-based web applications, collaborating with engineers, product, and design to bring new user experiences to life, and integrating with backend JSON APIs to ensure seamless data flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our React-based web applications, driving innovation and excellence in software engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to break down complexity, iterate, and deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Integrate with backend JSON APIs, ensuring data flows smoothly and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain automated tests, driving continuous delivery and high-quality software.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain code standards, ensuring excellence in software development.
  • Contribute to our architecture and component design system, driving long-term success and innovation.
  • Participate in the support hero/on-call rotation, resolving reported issues and ensuring seamless customer experience.
  • Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Contribute to product strategy and feature planning, driving business growth and innovation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in web application development, with a strong focus on React, TypeScript, Node, and responsive CSS.
  • Expert-level knowledge of modern web frameworks, including Next.js, and a component-based architecture within a design system.
  • Experience with JSON API integration and backend technologies, including Node, Python, or Go.
  • Expertise in creating complex frontend applications with multiple data sources, incorporating caching strategies and robust error handling.
  • Commitment to writing clean, well-designed, and thoroughly tested code.
  • Ability to lead technical team projects, including technical design, scoping, and estimation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-directed with a passion for continuous learning and customer advocacy.
  • Ability to take ownership of challenges with a positive, improvement-focused attitude.
