As a PRN Flex Ability Nurse, you will possess the qualities most exemplary of the nursing profession, including compassion, empathy, accountability, and honesty.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Quality Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, and evaluate) for each patient on an individual basis, ensuring the maintenance of quality patient care.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer medications as ordered by the physician, document patient response to medication and procedure, and monitor patients receiving I.V. conscious sedation as per policy.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, report incidents and injuries, and demonstrate a professional manner.
- Assist in Operational Functions: Assist the department manager in maintaining policies and procedures, schedule assignments of personnel as applicable, and monitor equipment function.
- Maintain Satisfactory Communication: Promote satisfactory relationships, share knowledge with others, and maintain certification in Basic Life Support and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support as required.
- Participate in Professional Development Activities: Attend committee meetings as designated, attend in-service programs, and maintain knowledge of computerized systems within the healthcare system as needed for job performance.
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current LA RN license.
- Physical Demands: Required to stand for long periods of time, lifting and transporting of patients is required, motor coordination and manual dexterity are necessary.
The Registered Nurse at North Oaks Health System will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
