Job Summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead technical teams on new product development projects in our Control Actuation Systems (PAS) Department. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for creating embedded systems for the manipulation and control of flight actuation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical team performance to project schedule and cost
  • Lead new product development processes of electromechanical systems for commercial and military platforms
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, judgment, cooperation, and ability to communicate technical information
  • Support new business pursuits that address program technical requirements and associated schedule and costs
  • Lead a technical team from the beginning to the end of a new development project
  • Communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control work in one or more projects concurrently
  • Interface with both commercial and military customers in technical program definition and execution
  • Identify technical tasks and resources for projects and create engineering development plans, WBS, etc. needed to execute projects
  • Manage system requirements and define lower-level requirements
  • Oversee/review technical reports to satisfy internal and external deliverables
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience as a technical lead
  • New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control work in one or more projects concurrently
  • Experience in executing a project from the beginning to the end
  • Excellent Presentation skills
  • Experience developing WBS, project plans, technical requirements
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians and comfortable in laboratory environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
