Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients in their homes, enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing treatment and providing exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being while following the established plan of care. You will work closely with the supervising PT to instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being
  • Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
  • Observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of Massachusetts. Additionally, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
