Job Description:
We are seeking experienced truck drivers to join our team. As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver with Penske Logistics, you will be responsible for delivering palletized products locally to a major pharmacy chain. Your daily routine will involve operating late-model, Penske-owned trucks designed for comfort and efficiency. You will work Monday through Friday with various start times, enjoying 2 consecutive days off each week. This schedule offers a great work-life balance and allows you to maintain a consistent routine.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must possess a valid CDL Class A license and have at least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years. Alternatively, you may have 2 years of documented experience within the last 5 years. Additionally, your DMV/MVR record should demonstrate no more than 2 moving violations or accidents over the past 3 years. You must also be able to pass a background investigation, submit to a DOT medical card requirement, and undergo regular drug screenings. Our ideal candidate is a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can commit to working a regular, predictable schedule.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Your physical abilities should also enable you to safely enter and exit the vehicle, as well as access the rear cargo area. We strive to create a safe working environment for all our associates.
