Job Summary

The Coordinator of Residential Student Success provides leadership for residential student success initiatives and outreach. This position will collaborate with units within the Division of Student Engagement and Success and various units across campus to lead initiatives and outreach efforts focused on supporting residential students.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for residential student success initiatives, including developing, coordinating, implementing, and tracking initiatives that promote retention and persistence.
  • Manage outreach to residential students about academic progress and retention, collaborating with campus partners to create programs, initiatives, and resources that support residential student success.
  • Lead all aspects of the Resident Student Success Mentor (RSM) program, initiatives associated with the SMART program (Students of Color Mentoring, Aiding, Retaining, Teaching), and the Generation Falcon program, designing, planning, and managing all aspects of the three residential-specific student success programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required; experience working in a housing or residence life operation preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working with retention initiatives and 2 years of supervision experience preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of college student development, multicultural, and social justice theories and trends.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating workshops, and in retention and diversity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication and administrative skills, with a demonstrated desire to work with diverse individuals and groups.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $62,832 - $93,824 per annum, based on the job requirements and location.
