Position Overview:

  • Location: Winter Haven Hospital
  • Status: Full-time
  • Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Days: Monday through Friday

This role as a Financial Assistance Caseworker is a full-time opportunity requiring on-site presence in Winter Haven.

Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Assistance Caseworker plays a crucial role in identifying patients who may qualify for financial and social support from various public entities. This involves:

  • Assessing the financial and social circumstances of patients.
  • Acting as a liaison between patients, their families, and public agencies.
  • Documenting assessments and approvals accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications and Licensures: None required
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 5 years in Social Work or Public Assistance with a High School Diploma, or 1 year in Social Work or Public Assistance with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. Knowledge of community resources for underfunded patients is a plus.
