The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking a dedicated Automotive Paint Preparation Specialist to contribute to one of the most innovative vehicle brands globally. This role will encompass supporting the Tesla Collision Repair Program across various functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Eliminate contaminants such as grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces to ensure optimal conditions for paint application, utilizing tools like abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
- Assist the painter with pre-paint blending requirements.
- Collaborate with the paint team to ensure vehicles remain on schedule for timely delivery.
- Repair minor dents or scratches using body fillers and smooth surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Polish and wax the completed paintwork to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using appropriate cleaning agents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Detail vehicles to ensure they are ready for customer delivery.
- Previous experience in the vehicle painting process is essential.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, wet, or humid settings.
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- I-CAR certifications are preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid Driver's License is preferred.
