This pivotal role is integral to the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. The Senior Vice President of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the organization, engaging actively in daily business functions. This position demands a detail-oriented professional capable of delivering insightful financial analyses and strategic recommendations to enhance profitability and sales growth. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific guidelines is essential. Timely and accurate financial reporting is critical to support executive decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively manage and update income statements and cash flow forecasts to reflect business dynamics.
• Supervise all facets of accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Lead Financial Planning and Analysis initiatives, employing financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
• Oversee the annual budgeting process, utilizing operational metrics to identify areas for margin enhancement.
• Establish a reliable cash forecasting system that supports a robust ROI framework for investment timing.
• Direct risk management efforts through effective claims oversight, establishing necessary financial reserves, and communicating risk insights to operations.
• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, suppliers, lenders, and auditors.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and requirements of a private equity-owned business.
• Develop precise reporting mechanisms, including key performance indicators, to guide daily operations and inform strategic decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 15+ years of financial management experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to integrate and manage mergers and acquisitions.
• Successful track record in fast-paced, results-oriented environments.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in building finance and risk management frameworks to facilitate growth.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as NetSuite and Adaptive, is advantageous.
