Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Williams County, ND. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Payroll: Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation.
  • General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Grants Accounting: Assist with grants accounting, including tracking and reporting on grant funds.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Two years of accounting experience, preferably in a government or non-profit setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software and systems.
