Position SummaryWe are currently seeking an Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist to enhance our Recycling facility. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. Adherence to safety protocols and maintenance processes is essential to support our operational goals.
The position requires flexibility to work twelve-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
CompensationStarting Pay: $35 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on experience.
Schedule: 12-hour swing shifts - rotating between 6 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 6 am.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will:
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Utilize testing devices to diagnose and report electrical issues.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Conducting minor electrical repairs as needed.
- Applying mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
- Troubleshooting production equipment managed by PLC controllers.
- Performing regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Using various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Identifying faulty operations and reporting unusual situations to supervision.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborating effectively with team members.
- Completing other assigned duties as necessary.
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment with strong electrical and controls knowledge.
- Experience in the industrial electrical field.
- Proficiency in using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with operating various equipment, including forklifts and hand tools.
- Experience with PLC systems and logic platforms.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Understanding of relevant electrical codes.
- Ability to troubleshoot ethernet networks.
