Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Prolink is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical or electronic plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems throughout the site to ensure optimal operating conditions and plant productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, and improve all processes and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, fostering a positive work environment with all colleagues.
- Receive and execute job assignments through work orders, sketches, PM schedules, blueprints, or verbal instructions, following applicable codes and regulations.
- Respond to emergency requests for repairs/replacements, including fire system malfunctions that may occur outside of regular working hours.
- Use test equipment and hand tools to identify and rectify system malfunctions, including troubleshooting through PLCs, apparatus, and components.
- Install electrical systems, conduits, wire connections to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, and modify and relocate machinery.
- Repair or replace wiring, power tools, and maintain various production machinery and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and parts.
- Read and interpret PLC programs, manuals, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and other written installation and repair instructions.
- Perform routine inspections, breakdown maintenance, and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.
- Utilize various measuring and testing equipment to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Comply with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
Requirements:
- A.S./B.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering/Maintenance Technology/Industrial Maintenance or related field, or Military equivalent, or Journeyman's Card.
- 3-5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/manufacturing.
- A 'can-do' attitude, being resourceful, and electrically inclined.
- High level of experience and proficiency in the function, mechanics, and operation of all Maintenance equipment. Understanding and adherence to OHSE policies and directives.
- Ability to work independently and with other Mechanical technicians and production co-workers on electrical and mechanical issues.
- Experience in 480V/3-Phase, VFD, Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC troubleshooting, and reading/interpreting blueprints/schematics.
