- Prepare and review work papers, reports, and other documentation for audits and reviews.
- Conduct thorough audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Identify and communicate potential accounting or audit issues to the engagement Manager or Partner.
- Research and analyze financial statement and audit-related issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain a working knowledge of clients' businesses while ensuring confidentiality.
- Evaluate the design and implementation of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
- Meet charge hour goals and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 0-2 years of audit experience, preferably within a CPA firm.
- Internship with a CPA firm, preferably in the audit department.
- Knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts.
- Colorado CPA license or eligibility to attain a Colorado CPA license within two years of employment.
