The Travel Cath Lab Technologist plays a critical role in providing exceptional patient care within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This position requires a dedicated professional who is skilled in advanced cardiac procedures and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Certification Requirements- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- BLS: Basic Life Support (Required)
- ARRT: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Preferred)
- RCIS: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Preferred)
- Work schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a minimum call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month.
- Cross-training in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab is highly preferred.
- Provide direct patient care, including sheath removal and the recording and interpretation of hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings.
- Monitor and manage inventory while assisting with patient transfers.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate advanced radiologic equipment safely, including cineangiographic, fluorographic, digital imaging, laser, and electrophysiology devices.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations.
- Participate in the monitoring of the quality control program.
- The department seeks candidates who are cross-trained in both the EP and cath lab.
- Education: Completion of an approved Cardiovascular Technology Program or an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Studies (Required).
- Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist.
All candidates must comply with vaccination requirements or possess an agency-approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
