Position Summary:

The role entails overseeing all operations related to the drain belt. This includes ensuring that forms are properly cleaned, filled, and documented accurately. The operator will manage the workflow within the filling area, which encompasses equipment setup, staging, and adherence to the production schedule. Leadership skills are essential, alongside a commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation, safety, timekeeping, and personal conduct regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fill forms in the designated filling area.
  • Load bakery-style carts with product trays.
  • Stage and load cups into the filling machinery.
  • Monitor the filling machine closely for any potential hazards and ensure quality control.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) for assigned areas.
  • Sanitize equipment, tools, presses, and forms during production hours.
  • Utilize chemicals appropriately for designated cleaning tasks.
  • Document the transfer of contents from vats to forms, maintaining accurate records of operational times.
  • Comprehend equipment handling protocols.
  • Communicate any safety or quality concerns to management and relevant personnel.
  • Maintain strict compliance with GMPs.
  • Follow all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, reporting unsafe conditions to management.
  • Ensure precise recordkeeping and completion of necessary paperwork.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask questions for clarity on work-related tasks.
  • Proactive approach to completing tasks with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, exhibiting a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate physical activity is required on a frequent basis.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving throughout the facility.
  • Hearing ability must meet safety requirements within the manufacturing environment.
  • Work is conducted in a high-noise area, necessitating the use of appropriate hearing protection.
  • Vision capabilities should include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Able to work in a multi-shift environment.
  • Exposure to spices and meat ingredients is part of daily activities.
