The primary focus of this role is to engage in the development, design proposals, permit submissions, energy analysis, specifications, commissioning, and oversight of HVAC and mechanical systems during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement HVAC and mechanical systems.
Collaborate with project team members to address complex mechanical engineering challenges, comprehend project-related issues, and enhance process engineering understanding.
Provide regular updates on project activities as scheduled.Ensure that outcomes align with client expectations and standards.
Assess the time required for task completion and track performance against timelines. The individual must be capable of managing project assignments with minimal oversight.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in HVAC and mechanical systems is essential. Familiarity with plumbing systems is advantageous.
Proficient in AutoCAD and possess practical experience within the construction sector.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Bluebeam. Experience with energy modeling software (such as HAP or TRACE) is a plus. Design expertise in air, hydronic, steam, refrigeration, humidity control, industrial ventilation, compressed air, natural gas, fuel systems, or controls is required.
Experience across various sectors including industrial, consumer products, laboratories, mission-critical environments, hospitality, commercial, assembly, manufacturing, life sciences, archival, and pharmaceuticals is preferred.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Ability to deliver timely, reliable, and courteous service to clients.
Capacity to communicate effectively with all team levels.
Education and Certifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred, though not mandatory. EIT certification is preferred. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
