Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, and material handling systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as routine inspections and equipment assessments, to prevent component failures and downtime.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and assist operators with training and troubleshooting.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring all repairs are documented.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, equipment, and technologies, and utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical school graduation preferred.
  • 2-4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a variety of equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, and wiring diagrams.
  • Able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action to prevent component failures or downtime.
