We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.
About the RoleAs a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. You will work under the supervision of a radiologist or cardiologist to prepare patients for exams, administer radionuclides, and evaluate image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and administering radionuclides
- Evaluate image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail
- Present completed exams to radiologists or cardiologists for review and assist with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested
- Assist patients with dressing, answer questions, and release patients with directions to exit the hospital if needed
To be considered for this role, you must have a current valid State of Florida license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N), and hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. An associate's degree or higher in a health science-related field is preferred.
