Position Overview

Professional Dog Trainer

This is a part-time opportunity with Ruff Day Resort, as we expand our services to accommodate a growing list of clients seeking expert puppy training and board-and-train programs. We prefer candidates with AKC Star Puppy Training certification and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Dog Trainer from a recognized institution or equivalent experience
  • Strong affinity for working with dogs and their owners
  • Enthusiasm for business development and sales
  • Highly energetic, self-driven, goal-oriented, and a collaborative team member
  • Effective communication skills with clients
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Proficiency in social media engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the mental and emotional well-being of the dogs in our care
  • Engage with potential and current clients effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of training equipment and areas
  • Collaborate closely with daycare and kennel personnel
  • Demonstrate strong phone and communication skills
  • Conduct one evening class weekly for puppies
  • Implement process improvements
  • Manage scheduling
  • Promote services
  • Execute social media marketing initiatives
  • Handle billing and payment processes
  • Perform additional duties as required
