Job Description

Softcom Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with experience in data analytics, defect analysis, and process improvement.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for performing data analytics of defect data, identifying top defects, and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). They will also support the review and release of Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate value additions/improvements to the existing shop floor support. They will also be able to perform design reviews to ensure quality is engineered into the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analytics of defect data
  • Identify top defects and perform RCCA
  • Support review and release of QMS procedures
  • Develop performance metrics and trend analysis
  • Perform root cause analysis of non-conformance
  • Create and review process verification instructions
  • Customer specification interpretation
  • Ability to plan and coordinate value additions/improvements
  • Ability to perform design reviews
  • Communication with all teams to ensure product completion

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Typically 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Microsoft Office - advanced skill level
  • Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
