Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is ideal for a skilled and organized professional with experience in procurement and inventory management, particularly in the aerospace industry. The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for procuring aircraft parts and materials, verifying nomenclature and specifications, and coordinating activities related to procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Procure aircraft parts and materials from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
• Verify nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests, consulting catalogs and contacting suppliers as needed
• Coordinate all activities related to procurement, including preliminary specification, preferred supplier, and date material is needed
• Analyze requirements of materials, investigating potential suppliers to determine if they meet specified requirements
• Advise team members or management on appropriate suppliers to use

Requirements:

• Experience with ERP systems, ILS software, and Microsoft Office basics, including Excel pivot tables
• Ability to recognize requirements for parts and materials to repair, overhaul, or manufacture aircraft items
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field

About the Role:

This is a temp-to-hire position with a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
